Two identical bar magnets having magnetic moments `2p_(m) and3p_(m)` are kept one over the other in such a manner that their
opposite poles are in contact . Determine the resultant magnetic moments in each case .

If the opposite poles are in contact , `3p_(m)and 2p_(m)` lie on the same straight line but opposite in direction .So , resultant magnetic moment = `3p_(m)-2p_(m)=P_(m)` and this resultant magnetic moment acts in the direction of `3p_(m)` .
