8. In a basket of the fruits were mangoes 14 of the fruits were apples and the remaining were guavas. If the number of guavas were 15, find out how many fruits were there in the basket

Let number of fruits=x
then mangoes=3/7x
then Apple=5/14x
`3/7x+5/14x=(6x+5x)/14=11/14x`
`x-11/14x=3/14x=15`
`x=14*5=70`
Total number of fruits x=70.
