Let `x` is the numerator of the fraction and `y` is the denominator of the fraction.
Then, the fraction will be `x/y`.
Now, `(x-1)/y = 1/3 => 3x - 3 = y => 3x -y = 3->(1)`
`x/(y+8) = 1/4 => 4x = y+8 => 4x - y = 8->(2)`
Subtracting `(2) - (1)`
`=> 4x -y -3x+y = 8-3`
`=> x = 5`
Putting value of `x` in (1),
