A truck travelling along a straight road...

A truck travelling along a straight road at a constant speed of 72 kph passes a car at time `t = 0` moving much slower. At the instant the truck passes the car, the car starts accelerating at constant `1m//s^(2)` and overtake the truck 0.6 km further down the road, from where the car moves uniformly. Find the distance between them at time `t = 50 s`.

There are two cars on a straight road, marked as x axis. Car A is travelling at a constant speed of V_(A) = 9 m//s . Let the position of the Car A, at time t = 0 , be the origin. Another car B is L = 40 m ahead of car A at t = 0 and starts moving at a constant acceleration of a = 1 m//s^(2) (at t = 0). Consider the length of the two cars to be negligible and treat them as point objects. (a) Plot the position–time (x–t) graph for the two cars on the same graph. The two graphs intersect at two points. Draw conclusion from this. (b) Determine the maximum lead that car A can have.

A car, starting from rest, moves in a straight line with constant acceleration . 4m//s^(2) After some time, it immediately starts retarding at constant rate 2m//s^(2) until it comes to rest. If the car moved for a total time 18 seconds, the total distance covered is

At the instant, the traffic light turns green, a car that has been waiting at an intersection starts ahead with a constant acceleration of 3.20 ms^(-2) , At the some instant, a truck travelling with a constant speed of 20.0 ms^(-1) , overtakes and passes the car. a.
