Assertion: Reduction division occurs in anaphase-I. So there is no need of meiosis.
Reason: Meiosis-II occurs to separate homologous chromosomes.

A

If both assertion `&` Reason are True `&` the Reason is a corrrect explanation of the Asserion.

B

The correct Answer is:
b

Anaphase-I involves separation of homologous chromosmes into different daughter cells. So, meiosis I is a reductional division. But eac h chromosome is still formed of two sister chromatids joined at the common centromers. Anaphase-I results in reduction in number of chromosmes but each chrosome has double amount of DNA so, meiosis -II occurs. during which chromatids of each chromsome separate genetically modified chromatids of each homologous chromosome formed during crossing over in meiosis-I.

[A]: Meiosis II is not mitosis. [R]: Meiosis II occurs in cell with haploid chromosomes

Assertion :- During meiosis-I there is no division of chromosome. Reason:- During meiosis-I there is separation and movement of homologous, in order to reduce thenumber of chromosome half in daughter cells.
