In annelida, blood is red due to the presence of haemoglobin or erythrocruorin dissoved in plasma. RBCs are absent in them. Blood corpuscles are colourless. Instead of blood, leeches posses reddish haemocoelomic fluid that flows in haemocoelomic channels.
