If y=log(sqrt(x)+1/sqrt(x)). Prove that ...

If `y=log(sqrt(x)+1/sqrt(x))`. Prove that `dy/dx=(x-1)/(2x(x+1))`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`y = log(sqrtx+1/sqrtx)`
`:. dy/dx = 1/(sqrtx+1/sqrtx)(1/(2sqrtx)-1/(2xsqrtx))`
`=>dy/dx = sqrtx/(x+1)((x-1)/(2xsqrtx))`
`=>dy/dx = (x-1)/(2x(x+1))`
