Draw the pattern of magnetic field lines...

Draw the pattern of magnetic field lines around a current carrying strainght conductor. How does the strength of the magnetic field produced change.
(i) with the distance from the conductor ?
(ii) with increase in current in a conductor ?

i. The magnetic field produced by current carrying coil depends upon magnitude of current flowing in the coil.
ii. For a given coil, the current in each turn flows along same direction.
iii. As a result, magnetic field produced by each turn has same direction and it adds up to give resultant magnetic field.
iv. Thus, if a coil has 'n' turns magnetic field produced by it is 'n' times greater than that produced by a single turn.
Hence, magnetic field produced by current carrying coil depends upon the number of turns in the coil.
