TCA cycle

D

Greater sunlight

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
B

In 1965 kortschak, Hart and Burr working with `C^(14)O_(2)` on sugarcane leaves found `C_(4)` dicarboxylic acid, malate and aspartate to be the major labelled products in very short periods of photosynthesis. This observation was confirmed by M.D. Hatch and C.R., Slack in 1967. The Hatch-slack pathway, as this alternative `CO_(2)` fixation is called, has been found to occur in tropical and sub-tropical grasses and some dicotyledons.
