Aftab's monthly salary is Rs. 25,000. He spends 1/5 of his salary on rent.The remaining amount, he spends 1/4 on the education of his children and 1/5 on food. Find (1) Aftab's monthly expenditure and (2) his monthly savings

Aftab`'`s monthly salary in rupees `= 25000`
Salary spent on rent in rupees `= 1/5**25000 = 5000`
Salary spent on education of children in rupees`= 11/4**25000 = 6250`
Salary spent on food in rupees ` = 1/5**25000 = 5000`
`:.` His monthly expenditure `= 5000+6250+5000 = 16250` Rs
His monthly savings = Monthly Salary - Monthly expenditure ` = 25000-16250 = 8750` Rs.
