Which organelle and how it is responsible for cell plate and cell wall formation.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Golgi complex is responsible for cell plate and cell wall formation. Golgi complex produces vesicles during anaphase of mitosis. These vesicles accumulate along the equatorial line of the spindle apparatus to form cell plate and during cell wall formation the pectate materials and other substances necessary for the formation of cell wall deposited over the both side of synthesised cell plate, which are synthesised and secreted by golgi complex.
