What is noncompetitive inhibitor?...

What is noncompetitive inhibitor?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The inhibitor which is not similar in structure with the substrate and binds with the enzyme at a site other than active site and alters the enzyme’s three-dimensional configuration thus blocks the reaction. This inhibitor is called non competitive inhibitor. It binds to either free enzyme or ES Complex.
