Phycobilin are the pigments mainly found in blue green algae (cyanobacteria) and red algae. These pigments have open tetrapyrrolic structure and do not bear magnesium and photo chain. Blue green have more quantity of phycocyanin and phycoerythrin together form phycobillin.
