Define magnetic flux....

Define magnetic flux.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The number of magnetic field lines crossing per unit area is called magnetic flux `Φ_(B)`.
Mathematically, the magnetic flux through a surface of area A in a uniform magnetic field is defined as
`Φ_(B) = vecB . vecA = BA cos theta`
where `theta` is the angle between `vecB and vec A`.
