Give the principle of AC generator.

Explanation

i. Alternators work on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The relative motion between a conductor and a magnetic field changes the magnetic flux linked with the conductor which in turn, induces an emf.
ii. The magnitude of the induced emf is given by Faraday's law electromagnetic induction and its direction by Fleming's right hand rule.
