Frenkel defect is not show by alkali metal halides but silver halides do. Give reason.

Frenkel defect occur n "a Silver halides due to small size of `Ag^(+)` ions which occupy interstitial position. Whereas in alkali metal halides , size of the cation and anion are almost similar so alkali metal ions do not fit into the interstitital sites.
