Assertion: A white precipitate is obtained when an aq solution of sodium thiosuphate is treated with `AgNO_(3)` solution and if the precipitate is heated with water, a black precipitate is obtained, and the supernatent liquid then gives a white precipitate with `BaCl_(2)` solution.
Reason: `Ag^(+)` ion forms a complex withn thiosulphate ions which upon hydrolysis undergoes disproportionation to yield `SO_(4)^(2-)` ion(supernatent liquid) and `Ag_(2)S` (black precipitate)
