How does electric potential depend on 'r...

How does electric potential depend on 'r' and `theta` due to an electric dipole ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`V prop ( 1)/( r^(2))` and `V prop cos theta ` ,where r is the distance of a point from the centre of a dipole and `theta` is the angle between the line joining the point and the centre and the dipole axis.
