Discuss the surjectivity of the following functions: `f: R->` given by` f(x)=x^3+2 `for all ` x in Rdot`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Here, `f: R->R.`
`f(x) = x^3+2` for `x in R.`
Here, When `x->- oo`,then, `f(x) -> -oo.`
When `x-> oo`,then, `f(x) ->oo.`
So, this function is travelling from `R->R`.
Domain and range of this function is `R`. It means `f(x)` is a surjective(onto) function.
