If f:(-pi/2,pi/2)->R and g:[-1,1]-&g...

If `f:(-pi/2,pi/2)->R` and `g:[-1,1]->R` be defined as `f(x)=tanx` and `g(x)=sqrt(1-x^2)` respectively. Describe `fog ` and `gof`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Here, `f(x) = tanx` and `g(x) = sqrt(1-x^2)`
`:. fog = f(g(x)) = f(sqrt(1-x^2)) = tan(sqrt(1-x^2))`
`=>gof = g(f(x)) = g(tanx) = sqrt(1-tan^2x)`
