What is the maximum separation between car and scooter ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Initially seperation between car & scooter increases and then decreases. Separation between them will be maximum at an instant at which velocity of the car is equal to the velocity of scooter. Velocity car = Velocity scooter = 40 m/s
from v=u+at
`40=0+4timplies" "t=10sec`
The distance travelled by scooter in 10 sec is `S_1=10xx40=400m`
the distance travelled by car in 10 sec is
`S_2=ut+1/2at^2=0+1/2xx4(10)^2=200m`
So maximum separation`=S_1-S_2`
`=400-200=200m`
When they meet both will tavel the same distance

Suppose the distance between the slits in a double-slit experiment is 2.00 xx 10^(–5) m . A beam of light with a wavelength of 750 nm is incident on the slits. What is the angular separation between the central maximum and the adjacent maximum?

6 cars- M, N, O, P, Q and R are parked in a straight line not necessarily in the same order. Distance between each car is successive multiple of 3 but not necessarily in the order. The distance between car N and car O is 36m and no car is parked between them. The distance between car M and car O is 102m. Car R is 99m to the right of car N. Only one car is parked between car O and car R. Car M is parked to the immediate left to car P. The distance between car M and car P is 12m more than the distance between car P and car N. The distance between R and M is more N. The distance between R and M is more than 60m. The distance between car P and car Q is 93m. If car Q moves 20m to the north then takes a left turn and moves 50m then again takes a left turn and moves for 10m and stops at point Z. Car A is 16m to the west of point Z. Car A moves 66m towards west and stops at point Y. What is the maximum distance between two cars?

A car moves with speed v on a horizontal circular track of radius R . A head-on view of the car is shown in figure. The height of the car's centre of mass above the ground is h , and the separation between its inner and outer wheels is d The road is dry, and the car does not skid. A car moves with speed v on a horizontal circular track of radius R . A head-on view of the car is shown in figure. The height of the car's centre of mass above the ground h , and the separation between its inner and outer wheel, is d . The road is dry, and the car does not skid. Show that the maximum speed the car can have without overturning is given by v_(max)=sqrt((gRd)/(2h)) . To reduce the risk of rollover, should one increase or decrease h ? Should one increase or decrease the width d of the wheel base?
