How many of the following are formed on hydrolysis of DNA Deoxyribose, ribose, cytosine, uracil, guanine, adenine, thymine, phosphoric acid

Nucleic acids are the biopolymers in which the repeating structural monomeric units is a nucleotide. The nucleotides structural monomeric unit is a nucleotide. The nucleotides consist of three components, a pentose sugar (D-(0)-" ribose or 2 - deoxy "-D-(-)-"ribose, heterocyclic base") , (purines i.e., adenine and guanine and pyrididines i.e., thymine, cytosine and uracil) and phosphoric acid. Sugar - base constitutes nucleosides. the two types of nucleic acids are DNA and RNA. Nucleic acids play significant role in replication and protein synthesis. Adenine and thymin are joined by stronger hydrogen bonds than guanine and cytosin. Is it true or false?

Here are some correct and some wrong statements. Correct only those statements which are wrong: (a) The genetic code is universal. (b) The genetic code is ambiguous. (c) The genetic code is regenerate. (d) Transfer RNA (tRNA) carry amino acids to mRNA codons and used again and again in transcription. (e) UAA, UAG and UGA are terminator codon. (f) Lac operon consists of regulatory genes, operator gene, structural and promoter gene.

Types Of RNA and Genetic code

A biologist studying the genetic code is interested to know the number of possible arrangements of 12 molecules in a chain. The chain contains 4 different molecules represented by the initials A(for a Adenine), C (for Cytosine), G (for Guanine) and T (for Thymine) and 3 molecules of each kind. How many different such arrangements are possible?

Read the below Statements about the structure of genetic material and identify the correct ones. I. Adenine and guanine are bases that have a double ring structure , cytosine, thymine and uracil are based with a single ring structure . II. An adenine nucleotide from DNA is the same as an adenine nucleotide from RNA , DNA adenine pairs with uracil and RNA adenine pairs with thymine. III. The base pairing that occurs in a double DNA helix and when RNA is synthesised during transcription follows the rule that a purine pairs with a pyrimidine. IV. The two Polynucleotides on a DNA molecule run in opposite directions so that the double helix formed has two strands that are parallel to each other.
