We know,
General term in `(x+a)^n` is given by,
`T_(r+1) = C(n,r)x^(n-r)a^r`
`:.` General term in `(x^2-1/x)^10` ,
`T_(r+1) = C(10,r)(x^2)^(10-r)(-1/x)^r`
`=>T_(r+1) = (-1)^rC(10,r)x^(20-2r)x^(-r)`
Now, we have to find the term having coefficient `x^8`.
`:. 20-2r-r = 8=>r = 4`
