The correct Answer is:
B

geq of `HCl = (3)/(36.5) xx 2.5 = 0.20548`
= geq of `Al (OH)_(3)`
Weight of `Al (OH)_(3) = (0.20548 xx 78)/(3) = 5.342g = 5342mg`
`:.` No of tablets `=(5342)/(400) = 13.35 = 14`

A person produce 2.5 L gastric juice per day, which contains 3.65 gm HCl per litre. The minimum integer number of antacid tablets, each containing 870 mh Mg(OH)_(2) , which should be takne by that person to neutralise all HCl produce in one day, is : [Mg = 24]

A human patient suffering from a duodenal ulcer may show a hydrochloric of 0.080 mol/L in his gastric juice. It is possible to neutralize this acid with aluminum hydroxide, Al(OH)_(3) , which reacts with HCl according to the chemical reaction shown below : Al(OH)_(3)+HCLrarrAlCl_(3)+H_(2)O Find wt. Al(OH)_(3) which is required to neutralize 2 L HCl :
