Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In elementary state, Hydrogen exist as a diatomic molecule. The bond between two hydrogen atoms H-H is covalent. The bond dissociation energy is very high `(435.9 Kjmol^(-1))`. So bond cleavage is extremely difficult, so hydrogen is less reactive at room temperature.
