`MgCl_2+Ca(OH)_2toMg(OH)_2+CaCl_2` Removal of permanent hardness means (Mg &Ca) chlorides and sulphates are converted to insoluble carbonates but we can use `Ca(OH)_2` means formed calcium chlorides only does not form insoluble carbonates
