Define entropy of transition....

Define entropy of transition.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The heat absorbed , when one mole of solid melts at its melting point reversibly, is called molar heat of fusion. The entropy change isgiven by
`DeltaS_(f)=(DeltaH_(f))/(T_(f))`
where `DeltaH_(f)` is molar heat of fusion. `T_(f)` is melting point.
