Give reason for the higher melting point value of `AlF_(3)` (solid) than `SiF_(4)` (gas).

(ii) Usually covalent compounds exhibit lower melting and boiling points.
(iii) `:. AlF_(3)` bring ionic in nature has strong coulombic force of attraction between the oppositely charged ions, Thereby posses higher melting point.
