Ethylamine is soluble in water whereas aniline is not soluble in water.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Ethyl amine is soluble in water as it forms intermolecular hydrogen bonds with water. But aniline does not form hydrogen bond with water to a very large extent due to the presence of large hydrophobic `-C_6H_5` group. Hence aniline is insoluble in water.
