How can the following conversion be effected?
Nitrobenzene `to` Azoxybenzene.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When nitrobenzene is subjected to reduction with glucose and NaOH forms the intemediate products nitrosobenzene and phenyl hydroxyl amine. These undergo bimolecular condensation reaction to give azoxy benzene.
