(i) Thermoplastic : They become soft on heating and hard on cooling. They can be remolded. E.g. polythene, PVC, polystrene
(ii) Thermo setting : Do not be come soft on heating set to an infusible mass upon heating. E.g. bakelite, melamine, formaldehyde
