In a submarine fitted with a SONAR the time delay between generation of a signal and reception of its echo from an enemy ship is 110.3 seconds. If speed of sound in water is `1450ms^(-1)` then caculate the distance of the enemy ship from the submarine.

Time delay `T=110.3s`
Distance of the enemy ship `D=(vt)/2`
`=(1450xx110.3)/2=15935/2=79967m`
Distance of enemy ship `=79.96km`
