What is the effect of pressure on velocity of sound in gas?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

For a fixed temperature, when the pressure varies, corresponding density also varies such that the ratio `(P/rho)` becomes constant. This means that the speed of sound is independent of pressure for a fixed temperature.
