Why sky waves are not used in the transmission of T.V. signals?

Explanation

The T.V. signals have frequencies in 100 - 200 MHz. As the ionosphere cannot reflect radio waves of frequency greater than 40 MHz back to the earth so the sky waves cannot be used in the transmission of T.V. signals.
