Why do we consider blood as a connective tissue?

1. Blood is a fluid connective tissue derived from the mesoderm.
2. Further like connective tissues it has a matrix
2. (Plasma) with cells such as RBC, WBC and Platelets.
3. It circulates in the body and takes part in transport of substances and Respiratory gases.
4. Hence it is considered as a connective tissue.
