A force of 10 kg weight acting on an object of mass for 2 s gives to it a velocity of ` 10 ms^(-1)` . What is the mass of an object in kg ? [`g=9.8ms^(-1)`]

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given
Force , F= 10 kg wt = `10 xx 9.8 =98 N`
Time ,t=2 s
Velocity, `v=10 ms^(-1)`
To find : Mass m=t
F=ma, a`=(v)/(t) `
Solution
`a=(10)/(2)=5ms^(-2)`
`:. m=(F)/(a)=(98)/(5)=19.6 kg `
`m=19.6 kg `
