More number of stomata occur in lower epidermis of leaf.

Reason : The upper epidermis of the leaf is directly exposed to sunlight. More water will be lost by transpiration from the upper epidermis . Hence the stomata are more on the lower epidermis to reduce water loss by transpiration.
