Why is the sinoatrial node called the pacmaker of heart ?

(I ) Sino - atrial node called as the " pacemaker" of heart because it is capable of initiating impulse , which can stimulate the heart muscles to contract .
(ii ) The impulse from the sino - atrial node speads as a wave of contration over the right and left atrial wall pushing the blood through the atrioventricular values into the ventricles .
