Yes. Sun is the ultimate source of energy. Directly or indirectly all forms of energy are got from solar energy examples are discussed below:
(i) Fossil fuels are formed due to the burial of plants and animals.
(ii) Renewable sources of energy are also got indirectly from the sun as follows.
(a). The water in lakes, rivers, evaporates due to solar energy and forms clouds. This brings rainfall.
(b) Wind energy is due to uneven heating of earth's surface by the sun rays.
(c) Solar energy is dependent on sunlight directly.
