(i) the pollen in each anther lobe unites into a mass forming pollinium which is attached to the sticky clip like structure called corpusculum.
(ii) The filamentous part arising from each pollinium is called retinaculum.
(iii) The whole structure looks like inverted letter 'Y' and is called translator.
(iv) This is a special adaptation to effect pollination. Example: Calotropis.
