(i) During fertilization in angiosperms one male gamete fuses with the egg (syngamy) to form a diploid Zygote.
(ii) The male gamete fuses with the diploid secondary nucleus to form a triploid primary endosperm nucleus which forms the endosperm tissue.
(iii) This is called double fertilization.
