Explain the law of dominance in monohybrid cross.

(i) These characters are controlled by distance units called factors which occurs in pairs.
(ii) In a dissimilar pair of factors one member of two pair is dominant and the other is recessive.
(iii) This law gives an explanation to the monohybrid cross (a) the expression of only of the parental characters in `F_(1)`generatio and (b) the expression of both `F_(2)` generation.
(iv) It is also explains the proportion of `3:1` obtained at the `F_(2)`.
