(i) There are special type of plants which grow on soils with high concentration of salts. They are called Halophytes.
Example : Rhizophora
(ii) In halophytes a special type of negatively geotropic roots called pneumatophores with pneumathodes to get sufficient aeration are present. They are called breathing roots.
