What are exothermic and endothermic chemical reactions?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If the total energy of the reactants is more than the products of the chemical reaction, then energy is released and the chemical reaction is known as exothermic. If the total energy of the reactor is less than the products of the chemical reaction, then the energy is absorbed and the chemical reaction is said to be endothermic.
