For cube, volume=`1^3`. If the temperature increases by `/_\T` then the new volume will be `(l+/_\l)^3`. Change in volume `/_\V=(1+/_\l)^3-l^3`
`=cancel(l^3)+3l^2/_\l-cancel(l^3)` neglecting `(/_\l)^3` & `(/_\l)^2` terms
i.e `/_\V=3l^2.prop/_\T`
i.e. `(/_\V)/(l^3/_\T)=3prop` where `l^3=V`
`:.` Volume coefficient of solid `gamma=(/_\V)/(V/_\T)=3prop`
