Given any one difference between a mechanical wave and an electromagnetic wave.

A mechanical wave requires a material medium for production and propagation of diturbance. A non-mechanical wave ( electromagnetic wave ) does not require a material medium for its propagation. Electromagnetic waves propagate through vacuum.
