Time required by the current to change its value from zero to the RMS value.

This equation is of the form `I=I_(0)sinomegat" "...(2)`
Comparing equations (1) and (2), we note that
Peak value `I_(0)=2Aand2pif=100pi`
i.e., `f=50Hz`
Consider `I=I_(0)sin2pift`
Let t be the time taken for the current to becomes equal to its rms value then
`(I_(0))/(sqrt(2))=I_(0)sin2pift`
i.e., `t=(1)/(8xx50)=(1)/(400)=0.25xx10^(-2)=(pi)/(4)`
i.e., `t=(1)/(8xx50)=(1)/(400)=0.25xx10^(-2)=2.5` ms is the time required.
