Inspite of the wave nature of light, why is light assumed to travel in a straight line?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The wavelength of light lies in the range of 4000A to 8000A. The size of the lens or mirror is much larger than the wavelength. Therefore may be assumed to travel in a straight line.
