4. What are STDs? How can we prevent sexually transmitted diseases?

Diseases or infections which are transmitted through sexual intercourse are collectively called sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) eg: gonorrhoea, syphilis, hepatitis B ete. Sexually transmitted diseases can be prevented by the following methods.
1. By using condoms during sexual intercourse.
2. Having sex only with one's married partner.
3. During infection of sexual and associated organs, taking medicines and advice only from a well qualified doctor.
