Which of these weights most? (i) 32 g of oxygen, (ii) 2 g atom of hydrogen, (iii) 0.5 mole of Fe, (iv) `3.01 xx 10^(23)` atoms of carbon.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(i) 32 g of oxygen weights most.
(ii) 2g atom of `H_(2)=2g`
(iii) 0.5 mole of Fe = mole x atomic weight `=0.5 xx 56= 28` g
(iv) `6.022 xx 10^(23) = 1` atom of d `therefore 3.01 xx 10^(23)` atom of `C=1/2 xx 12 =6g`
